Professionally-filmed footage of Bad Brains performing at this years “Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival” earlier this month can be seen below.
These videos are so righteous despite the fact during the song “Pay to Cum” H.R.’s guitar can obviously be heard unmiked. Which can throw you off for a few seconds but none the less great professional quality video of the Bonnaroo performance. Oh, and the white get up, complete with top hat and boa do this video even more justice.
H.R. (“Human Rights”) is the stage name of Paul D. Hudson, the lead singer of the hardcore punk band Bad Brains. His vocals can be quite diverse, ranging from a rapid-fire nasal whine, to feral growling and screeches, to smooth near-crooning or staccato reggae rhymes. He had departed the band periodically to pursue solo efforts that are more mellow reggae than Bad Brains’ usual punk/metal offerings. He is the older brother of Earl Hudson, Bad Brains’ drummer.
