Watch Tom Waits on “Fallon”



On Monday night Waits visited “Letterman” and offered his first live performance of material from his most recent album, 2011’s Bad as Me. He followed that last night with an appearance on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon”, where he performed the Bad as Me cut “Raised Right Men”. He also sat down for a convo with Jimmy that was full of typical Waits-like quips. “The only people qualified to run the country are cutting hair and driving cabs.”

We love this guy. Waits’ songs frequently present atmospheric portrayals of grotesque, often seedy characters and places—although he has also shown a penchant for more conventional ballads. Simply put he is one-of-a-kind. Check out the video of his performance and interview below.
